Offline Account Opening

Specific types of accounts cannot be opened online as they require offline processing. Unlike regular retail online accounts, these accounts have to processed offline due to requirement of additional verification and legal submissions.

  • Joint Accounts – Accounts held by more than one individual.
  • Corporate Accounts – Accounts opened in the name of a Company or an Organization.
  • HUF Accounts – Hindu Undivided Family Accounts.
  • NRI Accounts – Non-Resident Indian Accounts (have specific regulatory requirements).
  • Minor Accounts – Accounts for individuals below 18 years (usually operated by Guardian).

Steps to process offline application

  • Fill the physical account opening form.
  • Submit the required documents (proof of identity, address, PAN, etc.).
  • Your Relationship Manager or Branch verifies the documents.
  • Account is created in the system after verification.
  • Upon successful completion of telephonic verification, your account will be activated and available for trading within 24 hours.
