How to update the DDPI (Demat Debit and Pledge Instruction)?

DDPI replaced POA on November 19, 2022. Here’s why brokers or DPs need Demat Debit and Pledge Instruction:

·         To transfer securities from the Demat account to the stock exchange when a sell trade is placed

·         To pledge or re-pledge securities in the Demat account for margin trading

·         To transfer shares from the  demat account when the investor participates in a tender offer like takeover, buyback, or delisting

·         To debit mutual fund units from the Demat account when they are sold

 

Activation Process:

 

Individual account holder can activate DDPI online by login on https://sp.mastertrust.co.in/login with user ID and OTP.

Go to “Activate DDPI” option and complete the formality.

This request will be e-signed through Aadhar-based OTP, so you should have access to a mobile number or e-mail registered with the Aadhar database.

 

Non-Individual customers may fill up theDemat Debit And Pledge Instruction (DDPI) Authorisation and send it to our Integrated Back office Address mentioned below.
